About the Systems Medicine Research Group We specialize in the human metabolome to design tests for clinical decision-making and to discover novel therapies. We do this by using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry instruments and bioinformatics tools to integrate our data with other omics data, e.
We lead and are partners in consortia focusing on the development of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, diabetic complications in brain, liver and gut metabolism. The Systems Medicine Research Group is headed by a research leader and currently involves ten scientists.

We have close interaction with clinicians for patient-related research and an international network with industry and academia for collaborative opportunities. The employment is in accordance with the Capital Diabetes research centers collective agreements.
